Pendulum - a mass swinging back and forth on a long thread from a single pivot point. (INFLUENCED BY GRAVITY ONLY)
Pivot - the point of attachment from which a pendulum swings.
Bob - the mass at the end of the pendulum.
Length - the length of a pendulum is ALWAYS measured from the pivot to the CENTER of the bob
Amplitude - the distance (or angle) from which the pendulum is released from the vertical
Cycle - two (2) complete swings (from release point back to the release point)
Period - the amount of time it takes to complete one cycle
Frequency - the number of cycles per minute (or the number of cycles in any given amount of time)
Energy - the ability to do work
Work - work is done when a FORCE is MOVED any distance
Potential Energy - stored energy
Kinetic Energy - energy of motion (the energy in moving things)
